I am upgrading an ORAC to Gecko 540 and EMC2. I have noticed that the crossslide moves roughly. Ball nuts are good. Stiffness comes from the bearing mount near the drive sprocket. It has thrust bearings. How stiff should those bearing be to turn? I can only find 24mm thrust bearings and these are 22...

I am gutting an ORAC and using a new power supply, Geckos, and separate computer. Everything but the VFD goes. Keyboard is good. I need a chuck and a handwheel for the tailstock. Anyone want to trade?
