Hi Steve. Yes I have thought of that, but with different spindle sizes at each end of the lathe it would mean clocking each time i change the backplate for inboard or outboard turning!! Anybody have a 4 speed gearbox on their TDS 1/1 GB lathe
Hi, does anybody on this forum have the 4 speed gearbox on their lathe, I would like to compare some pics if poss, and any other info, do not be shy, my last post has had about 130 views and the only reply was from Andy b, Who by the way has been a star.

Thanks for the prompt reply, I had another tinker out in the garage tonight, fitted the imperial quadrant with a 54 spur gear and 48 drive gear, it Needs some fettling as the retaining collars for the drive gear are home made and not very well done, but all works.
