Re: easiturn 3 chuck location method and size

The Easiturn was based on the Viceroy 280 machines which had a D1-3 fitting. The D1-4 is significantly bigger! While what you say is probably correct for the majority of Easiturn machines, I think if you look through all the brochures posted above by admin. that it was offered with a D1-4 spindle. ...

Re: Supply of gear for Viceroy lathe

Does any one know where I might get hold of a 32 tooth gear for connecting the chasing dial to the 8 turns per inch lead screw on the above lathe. Can't help directly, but as it is only to drive the screwcutting dial, it doesn't need to be a precision item. Broadly speaking, any nearly-circular pie...

Does anybody know who the manufacturer was for the spindle pulley on the Easiturn lathe? I think the pullies and belt are standard poly-V configuration. Re: Easiturn3 conversion to Mach - some observations

The Combivert inverter that was fitted as standard cannot be used with modern spindle control boards - it has a resistive (0-10k ohm) input control mechanism, not an analogue (0-10v) one. If you do want to keep it..... ... you can use the C18 board by CNC4PC. This has a real potentiometer on it. ht...

- Some of the parts where I have asked for info don't have identifying marks that can be used to get spec sheets (the stepper motors, for example).... The parts list that was kindly uploaded simply lists these as 'X axis stepper motor, qty 1' and gives a part number, not specs. On this point, I res...

Does anyone have an oil flow restrictor from the autolube system on a 1990 triac its marked M21 and fits in the oil dividing blocks? Steve Is it a flow restrictor or is it a metering unit? I'm interested to know how well Mach works with real servo machines - I presume it controls the drives through Step and Direction signals and assumes the axes are doing what they're supposed to (and not lagging behind) Yes and yes. You need S&D capable servos with Mach. Mach is open loop, so in bro...

Easiturn construction details and photos required please

Hello. First post here. Thanks for a great site. I have acquired an Easiturn in pieces that I intend to rebuild to use Mach 3 and a servo-driven spindle. Finding information on these lathes is proving quite difficult. I have only found three photos, two of which are on this forum. What I am looking ...
