I have found the Serial number inside the white control cabinet on the bottom obscured by wires. It is 230288 Possibly preceded by a 4 so (4) 230288 probably 1993 vintage. Regards Phil.

Thank you for prompt reply. As far as as I can tell, year of manufacture is probably 1993 or 1994 as I have a price list that came with it dated Jan 1993. As for serial no's, this on the main board- 98712407 Don't know where to find chassis serial, space is limited in my workshop and I have to move ...

Starmill Steppers
Can anybody tell me what the stepper motors are in a Starmill. I can only access the X axis one and that has no label or number that I can find. Cheers Phil.

I am begining to realise that. Not used Dos but the tool dwells on any radius. So I am am doing well to get anything close to round out ! What are my options then. I haven't got thousands to spend.
I have got computors spare running anything from 3.1 to Vista.

Hi, just joined this very informative forum. I am running an old Starmill on a BBC and it is getting very frustrating to have to switch between edit program and machine control. Also pauses in circular inter', not smooth cut.
