Quite true! Could you by any chance supply a replacement tube (just the tube, the needle valve & fittings are fine)?

Thanks Bradders, air assist cone is clear and aligned, so it looks like the laser is on its way out. Ho hum I'd better get on the phone then...

laser less effective than it was

I'm using a 7 year old VL300 & have started to have problems cutting through acetate. The optics are clean and blemish free, the focussing is good & the correct material and thickness have been selected, but the laser is only cutting about 3/4 of the way through. Re: extractor unit not working fully

One thing you could try. We had a similar problem and when I opened up the compressor unit I found that the DIP switch block had fallen off the small circuit board. Re-soldered it in place & hey presto, it works fine.

Finally got the boss to tell me what he was up to - it was him who asked me to post the original question. All he's doing is importing photographs from Corel to produce lithophanes, so there should be no problems there. Isn't it easier when you know what someone is trying to do???

Hi, we are running versalaser software VLS 1.29.1 & are thinking of upgrading to Corel Draw X4, are the two compatible?
