2004 versa laser VL-300

Post by Turner_110 » Tue 23 Feb , 2016 12:06 pm

Hi

I have come across one of the above in a school that is not being used - staff seem to think it still works

Its use has been replaced by a larger laser

Its clearly quite old - who can carryout an assessment of this machine?

Is anyone out there still using a machine this old?

I notice the last post in this forum was 2010 (presuming I'm looking in the right place)

Do you think it worth my while to investigate - It would contribute to the processing of student projects

regards

David

We have one at our school. To test if it is OK you need to try cutting some material. We had to replace the laser a year ago as it no longer was cutting through (same age as that one) so I would factor in a replacement at some point soon around £1100.

Hi David, You will need to check & clean the lenses & optics also.

You can download the VL300 software from the Denford download page, http://www.denfordata.com/downloads/ulsinst-1.30.zip

thank you - I do have the manual that came with the machine - so I will have a look through the maintenance section.
