Fanuc Triac Overtravel Alarm

Post by jamesgates1000 » Thu 08 Oct , 2015 14:35 pm

Hi I have recently bought a Fanuc Triac Machine, I have it all connected in my workshop but am unable to home it.

When I turned I have a Y overtravel alarm.

The table does seem very far forward.

I have tried using the axis override button but it does not clear the 'not ready' flashing on the screen or allow me to jog the axis.

The P+Can trick also didn't work.

Could someone also confirm the process for homing the machine as the manual isn't too clear on this.

It looks like it has gone past the Y axis datum switch!

You will need to press & hold in the axis limit override switch & jog it in the minus direction at the same time, then release the switch & try to home it?

Thanks, I will give that a go tomorrow when I get to my workshop.

Do you know if it is possible to move the table manually?

You should be able to get to the Y axis motor pulley if you remove the rear cover.

and found the Y axis motor, I moved the table back into the centre of travel by using a 10mm spanner on the belt pulley nut...
