VersaLaser

Hello,
I've inherited an old VersaLaser (see picture) which has previously run using a prehistoric version of Corel Draw, that we click File > Print, select the VLS Engraver option and it opens up the VLS 3.5 Engraver software, ready to view and run the program on the laser.
Students use Techsoft 2D Design so to copy from 2D Design, to Corel to get to VLS seems pointless when I'm sure there must be a way to get files straight from Techsoft. Which file type do we need to save / export / CNC output to file to? We have tried exporting it as an Enhanced Meta File .emf, and then in the VLS 3.5 software trying 'Add' - this will add it as a numbered job but with no name, and just a greyed out screen and we can't progress (see picture)?

Thank you in advance for all advice!
Fabia

You can print directly from TechSoft 2D Design.

It's a lot easier if you can set the VLS3.50 as the default printer on the computer.

Then just go to Print & Properties to select the material.

Thank you - will this still open up the ULS engraver software to select the material and control the settings?

Or from 2D is it File > CNC Output to then select the settings from 2D design?
