I have LatheCAM designer V1.11 and it works no problem on XP. I tried it in Windows 7 but it won't install. Having said that I did not try installing under compatibility modes (ie telling win 7 to install/run in XP mode).
I believe it won't run under Win 7 or later as the design of the software is not supported by the later processors. You may need to get an older PC. You just need something from around the same time.

If you want to use the newer version you need to buy a new licence. I am in the same situation.

It is worth checking what software you currently have to control the novaturn and what version the novaturn can work with. If you are wanting to use a later design program because you want to run it on a later processor or WIN 7 machine you may find the control program for the novaturn wont work on it as well. So you may need to upgrade the control program for the later processor/operating system if the Nova Turn will support it.
