Enabling the feedrate and Spindle overide sliders on Machine

Post by bpmsl » Mon 16 May , 2011 12:25 pm

Hi,
The feedrate and Spindle overide sliders on my Machine Auto tab are greyed out, can I enable them for working with my Novamill?

I'm on the legacy VR milling as I have a RS232 controller, (v2.28, i think had some compatibility issues with v2.31).

Also having reviewed the electrical schematics for my 1999 mill it looks like I may be able to retro embody the speed and feed pots on the cabinet it that true? If so what are the resistance values for them so I can source the right components?

Cheers
BPM

Go to Menu: Setup > Setup Machine Parameters > denny > Machine Capability - Feed pot and Speed Pot should be un-ticked (if you want them to work via software and not real ones on the machine)

I think they're just standard 5 or 10K ohm pots

ok thanks will give that a try. If you can confirm the pot values that'd be great.
Thanks again.
