If your software crashes as you select 2/3D simulation or the VR software you probably have an issue with your Graphics card.

With QuickCAM 3D or PRO the 3D graphics load at startup so problems with the graphics can prevent the software starting.

The graphics used are written using OPEN GL Graphics : OpenGL (Open Graphics Library) is a standard specification defining a cross-language, cross-platform API for writing applications that produce 2D and 3D computer graphics.

Some Graphics cards can have problems loading or running these 3 D Graphics.

Below are a few tips as to how to check if this is the problem.

It is possible to turn off the Hardware acceleration which will then allow the computer to use basic windows drivers to run the application.

If after doing this the software runs this proves there is an issue with the driver or graphics card.

You may be able to download newer drivers for your graphics card that will work.

Step 1 Right click on your desktop and select properties.

Step 2 Select the settings tab then click the advanced option at the botom right of the window

Step 3 Now select the troubleshooting tab and then drag the Graphics hardware acceleration slider to None

Step 4 Now apply the settings and see if the aplication runs.

Step 5 If this cures the problem you may repeat step 1 - 3 but dont take the slider all the way to the bottom. At each step on the slider different amounts af accelleration can be selected. Find the best setting that works and save this.
