QuickCAM PRO Error "context not created"

Post by Woodlands » Sat 01 Apr , 2006 22:57 pm

We are having a problem running QuickCAM PRO on some of our machines. The machines are fitted with 128K NVIDIA GEFORCE 6800LE Graphic Cards. The software will not run and and all we get displayed is an error message appears saying "context not created" any ideas? 8)

This message generaly indicates the open GL graphics are not loading. Try right clicking on the desktop going to properties, then, settings, Advanced, troubleshooting then drag the hardware acceleration slider to minimum.

Alternatley try downloading the latest graphics drivers for your card.

To Run Quick CAM Pro you must be running Windows NT, 2000 or XP.

Let us know your OS.

Does it run on other PC's?

Are you running the curent version?

Many thanks QuickCam PRO is up and running again. I reduced the hardware acceleration slider to minimum and that did the trick. Cheers :D

Reducing the hardware acceleration slider in effect stops the dedicated graphics drivers running and uses more basic windows drivers.

If you find the 3d views rotation and simulation are not fast enough try upgrading your graphics drivers on line. You can also drag the slider back up one notch at a time until it stops working again.

Glad you are up and running again. :D
