Re:
Configuring VR Robot on a Network (RM Connect)

VR Robot works well when installed on local drives, and with data paths set up to save to pupils own network area. To do this...

1) Software installed on a local PC, with 'Default User (completed tasks)'. Do this as an RM package then it's easy to distribute to other PCs

2) Edit USERS.INI (in VR folder) to read...
[user count]
so far=0
Last User=Student
[users]
Student=N:\MyWork
;Note 'Default User (completed tasks)' has been removed

3) Edit CIM.INI
[SETUP]
NewUser=1
;This entry stops students being able to create new users

With this type of set-up, every student logs onto VR Robot as STUDENT, but their work will be saved to N:\MyWork\Room81 etc.
The room directories in N:\MyWork will be automatically created as each new student enters a robot room.

The following was done at St. Peters College school, Wolverhampton using VR Robot v1.26
