Hi Captain,

On a Fanuc 21i the 1008 alarm means that the carousel has gone out of sync. i.e. it has lost its position.

1. Take the tools out of the spindle and carousel pocket No1
2. Rotate the carousel with the CW and CCW buttons or M32 and M33 until carousel pocket No1 is in line with the spindle i.e. in its change tool position.
3. Use M27 to reset the carousel

Captain

It should have no effect the the next time the CIM is started, just ensure that the correct tool is selected when running. i.e. do some maunal tool changes and make sure the correct tool is been changed
