Network Site License Install

Post by paulwils7 » Fri 11 May , 2007 0:26 am

Hi all, can anyone tell me the procedure as to how schools should install a site license on their network for Quickcam 2D and 3D? There are no instructions in the package for this. How many machines is a site license for exactly?

Cheers
Paul

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

For Denford software a Site licence is exactly that (within reason), so if you have 100 computers at the school site, then you can install on 100 computers.

Other none Denford software is a different matter - usually a site license means one or two rooms up to 30 computers.

As Network setups vary so much, its difficult for us to give straightforward network installation instructions - it very much depends on how you intend to package / distribute / host the software to the users.

Denford current software uses a seckey.tff license file - normally this will be a single product which simply needs to sit in the applications program files\denford directory
If its a multi-product license, then this data is held in the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Denford
