We are having a problem installing the new Up plus 2 3d printer the computer says USB device not recognised when we plug the cable in, it does this on both out Windows 8.1 machine and the Windows 7 machine. I downloaded the software and drivers directly from the manufacturers website and have reinstalled the drivers, and software numerous times, I have disabled the digitally signed driver requirement in Windows 8.1 as per the instructions on the forum and then reinstalled the drivers but still the same message saying " the last USB device you connected to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it." This is on both a Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 PC. Also the initialise button doesn't seem to do anything. I have held it down for 10 to 30 secs but no beeps and the printer does not respond. In the printing software it just says the printer is diconnected.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Martin

I presume you have the power lead connected & the switch on the back on?
