1.17 is officially released now.
There is a 1.18 beta also available which has software platform level compensation in it.
I can't find the link because the pp3dp forum is down (yet again) :(

I have just managed to downloaded version 1.17 but when I try and run the setup program I get a message saying it is not compatible with my version of windows.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I don’t usually have any problems with 32 bit programs only drivers.

I have no problem with version 1.6. Also I have tried downloading a second time in case it got corrupted.

Any ideas?

It appears that either the source file is corrupt or it is getting corrupted during transfer...I've just downloaded it and it won't install for me either.
Luckily I still have the 1.17 file I downloaded previously and have posted it here:
