Starmill Steppers

Post by Phil Gravett » Tue 04 Jan , 2011 20:56 pm

Can anybody tell me what the stepper motors are in a Starmill. I can only access the X axis one and that has no label or number that I can find. Cheers Phil.

Thank you for prompt reply. As far as as I can tell, year of manufacture is probably 1993 or 1994 as I have a price list that came with it dated Jan 1993. As for serial no's, this on the main board- 98712407 Don't know where to find chassis serial, space is limited in my workshop and I have to move machine around to get at all of it. But if I know where to look.
I did find a rather worn label on the X stepper. Partially disernable- Rotalink DF?15 1/5VDCG5(or 9) is this any help? Regards Phil.

The serial plate should be on the side of the black box (electrical cabinet).

The motors are most likely,

Make Model Volts Ac/Dc Phase
x-axis MAE HY200-2220-210-BY08 30 DC
y-axis MAE HY200-2220-210-BY08 30 DC
z-axis MAE HY200-2220-210-BY08 30 DC

I have found the Serial number inside the white control cabinet on the bottom obscured by wires. It is 230288 Possibly preceded by a 4 so (4) 230288 probably 1993 vintage. Regards Phil.
