Triac RS232 7 pin DIN connections

Post by Denford Admin » Wed 05 May , 2010 14:29 pm

Triac 7 pin round DIN RS232 connector
Pin Designation
1 -
2 - 0 volts
3 -
4 - CTS (OPTION)
5 - RTS (OPTION)
6 - SERIAL DATA INPUT
7 - SERIAL DATA OUTPUT

So, (if I’ve read the Input/Output directions correctly) connecting to a 9 pin RS232 connector on the PC should look like:
9 way D-type 7 way DIN
3 (Tx) -------------------------------- 6 (data in)
2 (Rx) -------------------------------- 7 (data out)
7 (RTS) -------------------------------- 4 (CTS)
8 (CTS) -------------------------------- 5 (RTS)
5 (SGnd) -------------------------------- 2 (0v)

If this doesn't work, try swapping 6 and 7 round at the 7 pin DIN end

Please let us know if this cable works for you !
