good old TRIAC stopped working

Post by Oded » Sun 26 Apr , 2015 21:13 pm

Hello everyone,
sorry if I'm not accurate on the following description, CNC isn't my profession and English isn't my native tongue :-)

My father has an old 1988 TRIAC CNC in his highschool workshop.
Recently, while milling, the machine stopped working and smoke came out of it.

Attached are some photos of the machine after the incident, My father says that the main board "burned".
I'm trying to get a clearer picture of the burnt area on the electrical board,
in order to (maybe) replace the faulty parts,
however I fear that the print itself is damaged.

Can anyone tell me if a replacement board is available and where I can hope to find one?
Any help would be gladly appreciated

Thank you,
Oded

Hello Oded !!

I have this same machine, just the color is different.
I plan on converting my machine to PathPilot and servos.
I cannot tell from your picture where the damage is located, can you point it out?
You should move your post to the Machines Triac section.
