Viceroy TDS 1/1 GB counter shaft pulley sizes?

Post by paulmo101 » Thu 01 Jun , 2017 18:33 pm

Hi
Just to save me crawling around on my garage floor does anyone happen to know the pulley sizes on the counter shaft (above the motor, below the headstock) on the 1/1 GB lathe?
I presume they are quoted in the overall diameter - NOT the bottom of the groove that the belt sits in?

Also if memory serves me right they are the A section 13mm?

Thanks for reading
Paul

Okay garage floor it is!!!

I was thinking of upgrading the motor and vfd combo as mine is only the 0.75hp motor and seems a little weak when taking off anymore than about 1mm in a single pass.
I have the original ( I think) 3 phase hoover motor and a Altivar VFD and I retained the original pulley set up. If I do decide to upgrade I would like to keep this setup if possible but I would need a motor with a longer shaft to allow for using the original 4 gang pulley - most motors seem to have a 40mm - 50mm long shaft.
Anyway its something to ponder about.
