280vs tachometer

Post by bikerwookie » Sun 12 Apr , 2015 21:30 pm

Ive just converted to single phase with a vfd but am having trouble getting the tachometer to read.

Ive powered it with with 12v and get the 0000 display up but no increase in display with revs.

Ive traced the wiring diagram and all seems well. Any ideas if it needs more than just power and the sensor connecting?

the circuit drawings show theres a 10.5v ac supply to the circuit in the pod, then its rectified to dc at the circuit in that console anyway i reckon. im measuring and getting 11.2v when connected up to 3 phase supply. have you had success yet please? regards, trurnerhilly

That could well be my problem. I'm supplying dc to it. Hadn't realised it was ac but thought I read another post about supplying dc 12v.

Still no luck.
