The top belt kept slipping so I bought a new Nn T Link Vee Belt for the top drive to the lathe spindle from the mid counter shaft. I am having problems fitting it because I cannot trace the path the belt should take, or how to thread it around the two Vee pulleys.
Whilst the lower motor belt design has tensioning, the top belt has not, so I dread to think how this top belt - if positioned, might rejoined and tensioned.
Any assistance appreciated

Is the old belt is in situ? if yes, can you split it and attach the new belt to the old and the pull the old belt trailing end, thus taking the new belt round the belt path. Detach the old belt from the new and join the two ends of the new belt together. Just a thought.

See also the note here about cleaning the belt tunnel first.
According to drawing ML100/100B, the belt should be 4' 2 1/2" long.
Sorry, can't help regarding the tensioning.
