Hepa filter, life span and override

Post by markj » Tue 22 May , 2007 16:06 pm

We're getting an error message saying the hepa filter is exhausted re: previous post.
I'm just wondering, is it possible to override this message and still use the laser cutter? As we're at the end of the year and our budget and we still have a small amount to do!! Previous cutters we've used the filter could be removed and hoovered / particles knocked out to stretch out the life of the filter.
Also how is the life of the filter measured as there's no indication, like the carbon filter, airflow / time?
Thanks :?

The HEPA filter life is measured via a pressure difference. At either side of the filter is a pressure sensor, when the filter becomes blocked the pressure difference increases, vacuuming out the filter may prolong its life
