loose mirror

Post by Crakkers » Wed 17 Jan , 2007 16:30 pm

The mirror has come lose and disolodges as the laser travels around the bed. How should the mirror be fixed securely?

Sorry if this is a vague reply, but most of our staff have been evacuated due to the roof being blown off.

From what I have managed to find out, the mirrors are held magnetically, so I guess either the magnet has come un-glued, or the magnet has been de-magnetised (maybe its been dropped ?)

I'll try get a better response when things have calmed down a bit here :?

Mirror

Post by Crakkers » Fri 19 Jan , 2007 9:16 am

Are there 4 magnets in the corner of the back of the mirror? If so they have lost their magnetism. In which case, given the very small ammount of use this laser has had, can we have a replacement please?

Ok - I have found some more info on the mirror (s)

I presume your problem is with mirror 2 ?

I'm going to post a new topic on how to replace these mirrors

mirror 2

Yes its mirror 2. there appears to be no magnetic attraction what so ever, so cutter remains out of action!
