Networked Laptop means no output to laser!

Post by Crakkers » Mon 15 Jan , 2007 22:22 pm

My school laptop has been working the laser fine, until I had it networked! Now when i create a cad dwg and press print it sometimes brings up the materials dialogue box, but never shows the image in the versa laser print preview page. I can switch the laser on and off, I can raise and lower the table, but I can not print! WHY????????????

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

This could be related to the fact that the user profile has changed by being put onto a network.
Try re-installing the versalaser drivers as the new network user.

If you still have problems, see this post about overcoming restricted user rights and the versalaser driver:

Is the Laser the default printer on the computer when it is networked?

You may try setting it as the default :?:
