Honeycombe bed still crashes into the nozzle

Post by markj » Fri 08 Dec , 2006 16:58 pm

The honeycombe bed of the Versalaser is crashing into the nozzle and damaging the honeybombe structure. I've tried switching off, logging off etc. but this seems to make little difference. Regarding the homing cycle, as suggested in another post, this starts automatically when the power is switched on via the driver. Any suggestions?

You need to check that the honeycombe bed is seated correctly.
It may be best to remove it & drop any loose bits of waste material out. You will also need to make sure that the surface it sits on is clean. Once this is OK try running the VCP software. In the FOCUS tab you will see a Z position in the bottom right. This should change\update when the honeycombe is correctly fitted.
