No power Versa laser 4.6

Post by chrisj » Thu 03 Dec , 2020 18:26 pm

Hi So the laser cutter was moved slightly, the mains power socket came loose and shorted against the laser body big spark and fused one of the two fuses. Replaced the blown fuse but now does not power on. Control panel says disconnected and no power button showing. There is power to the transformers. Contacted ULS who said possible CPU failure? I have in the past had trouble with the usb port on the main board but managed to repair it that was about 8 years ago. So now I am a bit stuck, are there any other fuses in the power supply units? or is it engineer visit time?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Chris

Hi Chris

Does the CPU power up at all when you connect the USB lead & does it show up in Device Manager on the computer?
