Print Set up

Post by Crakkers » Fri 01 Dec , 2006 21:14 pm

If I go to print set up in 2D Design or corel etc and ask the software to match the current printer the layout changes to a 300mm square rather than a 300 x 600 area to match the bed of the machine - why??? :( :?:

This may be to do with the way the printer is set up. I assume you have a VL300?

Try going to printers in the control panel. Set the default printer to be a VL300. Go to device setup and ensure it is set to 300 x 600.

Restart the PC and try again. I am sure there are some other technical articals that will cover this.

Are you using the machine in Admin mode? If not try running in Admin and see if you get the same problem.

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

I'd also recommend using the latest drivers...

OR

There have been problems in the past with windows not reporting the correct bed size.
Like Steve said, running the machine other than Admin (or whoever installed the driver) causes problems like this - see this other topic:
