Laser cutting over dimension plate ?

Post by tecteach » Wed 09 Feb , 2011 15:29 pm

Our versalaser has started cutting / engraving on the dimension plate / ruler. It looks as though the laser is not homing to x and y correctly and when focused is slightly off where it should be. Can you tell me how to correct this problem ?
Thanks
Why did I choose this profession, cos it aint for the money !

Hi there,

On the X axis, you could try moving the X axis datum sensor (PCB board), this is located under the carriage on the right hand side, it is held in place with 2 x Imperial Allen screws, move it towards the right. This will mean it homes further to the right and will not travel as far to the left where the rulers are located. If this solves the problem let me know and we can look a doing the Y axis.
