Versalaser on Win7

Post by npala » Sat 30 Jan , 2010 16:21 pm

Hi,
I try to install Versalaser on Windows 7 Ultimate, and I receive this error:
"Could NOT Add Port Monitor. DLL(s) may be Locked or NOT Existing"

Somebody can help me?
Thanks.

What model of VersaLaser do you have?
ULS Ausrtia report that the VLS & PLS range will run on Win 7, 32 bit operating system.
Are you on the latest software?

I have VLS 3.50 /40W and I try to install 5.24.38 and 5.26.45 (from this forum), and I receive this windows :
1. UCP, with text:"
2. Unable to Open Monitor, with text:" The printer name is invalid."
3. AddPort.exe, with text: "AddPort.exe has stopped working : Check online solution and close program / Close the program "
Details: APPCRAS ...... ntdll.dll ....
4. Printers, with text: "The arguments are invalid"
5. OEMSetup, with text: "Timeout Waiting for Driver to Install"

Is possible to be a problem because I have Windows 7 64bit.

I think ULS have a Beta version that is 64 bit. You may be best contacting them for a copy.

You need the advanced driver which we do not supply.

When you install the software if you select a bigger laser (VLS 4.60) at the same time as the VLS 3.50 then the advanced driver will be installed automatically. The 4.60 will show up as a printer but is never used.
