Scoring onto card

Post by Len Charnock » Mon 19 May , 2008 12:46 pm

I am having problems trying to score a line onto 1mm card. I create blue lines but, even at "paper" setting with the vector marking turned to minimum, the laser still cuts through the card. Is there any way I can reduce the power further? Can the matrials database be edited to give me a suitable setting for this?
(If I use black lines, the correct amount of scoring is achieved, unfortunately, it takes too long on vertical lines as the machine is rastering horizontally).

Len,

What version of driver do you have?

Is the machine a VLS?

What is the laser power?

If you do not have the latest driver and you have a VLS download this file:

http://www.denfordata.com/downloads/uls2008_2.19.34.zip

The material library has lots of corrections in this new version :D

Have you tried to re print the design. The settings for each printed object are set when it is printed.
