Post by Crakkers » Tue 02 Oct , 2007 12:24 pm

Hi

Installed versa laser on standalone PC. everytime I switch PC on it states new hardware found and looks for firmware. Laser extraction is constantly switched on - noisy! but can not control machine via PC.

Please advise exactly what software I need to download. Original disks are lost!!!

Op system is XP

does not answer the question.

why does new hardware found come on everytime I boot PC up, even though software has been installed and reinstalled many times, as per your instructions?

It sounds like you have a problem on one of the USB devices.

Try looking at the USB devices in device manager & check that they are all installed correctly. If one shows a error then try to update the device.

It is probably somthing to do with access rights on the computer.

Have you tried logging on as an administrator then loading the laser drivers. It may be as a standard user the changes you are making each time are not being saved.

it looks like the usb board from your pc, does search it every time, because otheriwse there will be no reason, why it alswys shows you that a new device was found.
Maybe try to connectg the machine to another usb board on your pc or try to upgrade your usb board drivers.
