Carbon Filter Life

Post by bradders » Wed 22 Mar , 2006 16:39 pm

I have been using a Versa Laser with a new Carbon Filter with

3mm Acrylic
4mm Laser Ply
2mm Matte board (This is like a card board)

and it has expired after 1 months usage

The filter activates a sensor when the air flow going through the filter is reduced. The only fix is to replace it. The other option for them if they are doing materials that shorten the life of the filter is to stop using the filter system and install a blower to remove the smoke.

N.B.

Matte board is probably the worst, because just like burning anything made of wood or wood particles, the residue from it and the particles tend to clog the filter faster.
