oblio, you do have the correct resistor installed in the KBIC for the motor size?

I'm thinking that the resistor is the wrong sizes. I have read conflicting data sheets one said its a half hp motor and i also have a manual that said one hp. I went with lower value (1/2 hp) thinking better less than to much. I will look again at the lenze motor and either go up to 1 or not . If you know the HP i would appreciate that info. thanks in advance jb.

Having just checked the first Triac brochure I've found, the spindle was rated at 1HP (I think some were lower, and some higher). So going by the KBIC manual (http://www.kbelectronics.com/manuals/kbic_manual.pdf - page 11), you need the resistor for 1hp on 180VDC, which should be part number 9841.

The HP should be on the serial plate.
