I`m having a couple of backplates made for me from EN1A mild steel. They will be ready to screw on with enough material left on the face to machine the 55mm register on for a chuck (or any size register). They are working out at £25 each (which is the same price as a 80mm backplate casting) If anyone wants one then let me know over the next couple of days....
