Hi there,
I have had a problem with the machine tripping the earth leakage circuit so I was trying to get to the bottom of it. The machine would be fine on power up but after about 30s it would trip the RCD. Very odd one. There was some corrosion on the E stop on the machine so I plugged this out just to see if it could be shorting somehow. Felt it would be a "quick test". No such luck.... When I bent down to turn back on the machine one of the wires I had removed from the E stop had moved and shorted off the bed blowing the fuse on the 24V PS. I changed this out and powered up again but unfortunately now the PC reads that it cannot talk to the machine.
This is with the E stop reconnected and metered to ensure it works, guard master closed, the RS232 cable is still plugged in and there has been no change to the software.
Can you suggest anything else that may have tripped that is isn't obvious. I've had a look at the fuses on the boards and the 4 din rail mounted ones but nothing is blown.
Cheers,
Tim.

Is the seven segment LED display on the control card lit?
With regard the RCD you should have a Type C which is for motor inrush current.
