Novamill fail on G02

Post by donm0098 » Sun 11 Jun , 2017 2:10 am

I am running a Novamil with VR milling version 2. The machine has been working fine up to now, but it has failed to execute the G02 instruction correctly.

This is the line that caused the problem.
G02X5.431Y-5.48I.035J.035
It should cut a semicircle at 45 degrees. But when this line executes, the machine goes into a dither and never gets past the line. The bed oscillates and eventually loses calibration.

A similar line
G02X7.7Y0.I0.J.05
works fine. This is a horizontal semi circle.

If I run the code in virtual machine mode, it works as expected.

Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.

You may need to update the software to the latest version VRMilling 2.32. It's a free download but make sure you have a copy of the licence file first.

Also what version of Emprom do you have on the control card? It should be 2.0 Beta or 2.1.
