Mirac PC 1993 DMT 8ST Toolpost

Post by Benny » Mon 07 Apr , 2008 19:27 pm

Customer writes:
Mirac PC - circa 1993
Machine Serial Number: E0 4367
Electronics Serial Number: 93281036/017237
Still using DOS software

The orange gear box that indexes the tool changer has locked up. I would like a quote on a replacement or where I could send it to get it fixed. All I actually need is the gear set that is inside it. Can you help?

The Machine records shows the Toolpost as a Denford Designed DMT 8ST.

The grease used at the time tended to harden with age and lock the gears up. We tend to strip down and clean out the old grease and replace with a Kluber ISOFLEX NBU 15 grease. I will try and get some photo's of the stripped down gear box and a product code for the grease. If you can get some photos of the gears that need replacing I will check to see if they are available. Does the Tool post look like this ?

Hi,

I am having a problem with a turret like the one pictured here, would it be possible for you to add any drawings you have for this turret to the forum.

Would it also be possible to list any spare parts you have in stock.

Many thanks
Graham
