Parker SSD 508 Analogue DC Drive.

Help please!

I have a problem with a Parker SSD 508 Analogue DC Drive.
I have used it for about 5years, it developed an intermittent fault which caused it to go completely dead. I found the fault which was a dry joint on the primary side of the small mains transformer.
I managed with some difficulty tom repair this, which involved removing the transformer from the board.
It has developed a new fault, The motor give a quite burst as soon a power is applied no matter if the speed is set to zero, or the control inputs are removed.
Once it has done this burst it is OK.
I certainly didn't do this before I took it to pieces!

Perhaps someone has had a similar experience, help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Can any suggest a replacement I though a new one was rather expensive @ about £140.00

Hi,
It is used on a Denford Triac, it is an SEM type 30X2-44L spindle motor.
REgards,
Dave.
