scanmill

Post by andymandym » Fri 30 Dec , 2011 17:45 pm

i purchase a cnc milling machine called a scantek 2000. it runs on denford vr cnc milling software which was included with machine.
i was able to load the soft ware. 1 of the problems I've encountered is the spindle control does not respond to the software. i can turn it off & on manually and control the speed manually. is this machine suppose to run the spindle with the software or is it solely a manual operation? i am able to jog all 3 axis with the computer keyboard but am unable to turn the spindle off & on with the computer. the machine's physical appearance is very similar to the micromill. any info about this machine will be greatly appreciated.

Some of the early Micromills were fitted with a manual switch & speed control on the front. It sounds like yours is this type so you don't have any options.
