I HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS LITTLE MILL I HAVE TRIED DENFORD SOFTWARE AND OTHERS..IT SEEMS I CAN NOT CONNECT FROM COMPUTER TO MILL WITH FACTORY INTERFACE CABLE..I HAVE TRIED A PORT SNIFFER WITH NO RESULTS..I OPEN REAR PANEL AND LED IS 5..I SEE REFERENCE TO 7 IN MANUAL..THE MILL HAS SEEN LITTLE USE IT CAME FROM LOCAL SCHOOL ..IF I NEW THE MILL WORKED I WOULD CONCIDER SOFTWARE COST $650...

Hi,

This machine is a Denford MicroMill supplied through AES.

The unit shown is fitted with a Denstep control card and the 5 is normal.

The external rs232 cable is a standard RS232 cable.

Do you have the software that was supplied with the machine? If so you will have a Licence key disc.

If you have this disc you can download the final version of VR Milling 2 from our website and install this.

Just a final question. In the second photo you show the control card. There is an EPROM fitted to this board. Can you let us know the version number on the EPROM?
