Hey Everyone,
Does anyone have the data on the Micromill 2000's leadscrew? I'm trying to calibrate it with a 3rd party controller and cannot figure out how to do it. So I'm wondering if anyone knows the thread type? Is it an M8, M6, 1/4"-20, etc...?

The figure of 8000 steps per inch is from the original Denford software at half stepping (ie 400 steps = 1 rev of the stepper motor)
So this means the pitch would be just over 1mm which sounds wrong somehow, but I'd give those figures a try

I think the thread will be imperial.
I have just checked the Sherline website and its possible its metric
Try both values below.
Leadscrew thread pitch, inch
(Lathe, mill X and Y axes = 1/4-20, Mill Z axis = 3/8-20)
20 threads per inch or .050" travel per revolution (handwheels divided into 50 increments of .001")
Leadscrew thread pitch, metric
(Lathe, mill X and Y axes = 6.3 x 1 mm, Mill Z = 10 x 1 mm)
1 mm travel per revolution (handwheels divided into 100 increments of .01mm)
