Need some help

Post by Kyledye » Thu 08 Sep , 2011 17:00 pm

]I am not sure if this a product that was manufactured by Denford and sold under the Broadhead Garrett company but I am having trouble even getting this machine up and running. We had a blown fuse in the main fuse block, the very first fuse, and replaced it. The machine powered up and the spindle turned,we hit the e-stop and released it and now nothing works. We did not have the machine hooked up to the computer and I really have no idea of the specifications. I would like to know if anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction.

Hi,

Yes it's a Denford machine, can you photo the electronics cabinet and serial number so we know the age and type of control board.
Also let us know what software CD's/ floppy disks you have..

Thanks for the photo of the Software.

We no longer supply or support that version of software.

Could you provide a photo of the electrical panel in the back of the machine. With this I can point you to the correct electrical diagrams and hopefully fix the problem.

There will probably be software upgrades available that would work with your machine.

Follow the attached link. I need to be able to identify the EPROM fitted to the control card. Can you attach a photo?

Could you take a close up of the EPROM on the Control card or give us the version number written on the label?

This is the label that is vertical to the bottom Right of the picture.

I am pretty sure you have a MicroMill 2000 Denstep.

ESMINT 3.28 Indicates the machine will run with DOS software.

If you search the forum for "ESMINT 3.28" you will find several references to this.

Have you downloaded the circuit diagram from the link in my previous post?

Have you checked if the fuse F1 has blown again?

When you power on the machine and operate the key switch can you hear the main relay pull in?

If this does then you should hear the fan fire up and the machine light should come on.

F2 protects the transformer and logic supply. If this is blown you will not have the Machine light of the front panel light lit.

F3 Protects the fan and F4 the spindle.

It could be you have a fault with the spindle motor.

I have downloaded the electrical diagram. That will help, thank you
It has not blown any other fuses again and, no the relay does not pull in when we power the machine. The cabinet light does not turn on nor the fan but, the switch/key for the main power lights up.
