Cyclone OT-A - changing speed on spindle motor drive

Post by ti nut » Tue 27 Mar , 2018 11:23 am

Hi,

We are trying to get a ‘90s Cyclone up and running - it has had the spindle motor drive replaced with a Bosch Rexroth 3600 controller.

The spindle speed appears to be limited to 1400 rpm. The Rexroth has speed setting based on the motor speed which maxes out at round 1390 rpm.

Can anyone advise whether the Rexroth speed can be set at the max 5000 rpm as the motor nameplate speed is for the shaft? If the speed feedback comes from the spindle then 1400rpm will be ~3x the motor shaft speed because of the pulley size.

Thank you for your help!
