Z- overtravel change

Post by Dave King » Fri 08 Apr , 2011 14:46 pm

We have a Denford Cyclone, which has a GE Fanuc Series O-T controller. Up until recently we had a pneumatic chuck fitted but have now changed over to a manually operated chuck. The trouble is that the manual chuck does not extend as far out as the pneumatic one so the Z- over travel alarm is invoked when the tool is still roughly 28mm away from the jaws of the chuck. Can anyone tell me how to extend the Z-travel? I have found parameter 705 has the current Z-limit of 176000mm how do I go about changing this to something like 201000mm?

You will need to set PWE (perameter write enable) to 1.
Make sure the program protect key switch is dissabled.
Then go to parameter 705 & input -210000 (210mm) & press enter.

Don't forget to change PWE back to 0 when finished.
