Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
Does anyone have diagnostic parameters for 1989 cyclone serial number CY03118B
Like a fool i managed to delete all parameters!!
I have managed to re install Standard parameter set but cannot find anything on the diagnostic side...
Does anyone have more information on this and any advice?
Thank you in advanced.
Adam.

Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
Thanks for your help!
All parameters are restored, however unfortunately it still gives me a warning of 'Tool post overheat' even when the tool post isn't plugged in...
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is my only lathe and starting to loose work now :'(

Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
Have you set diagnostic 453 bit 0 to 1?
Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
Thanks for you help!
I have just tried this as it is 0 at the minute.
Every time i try and change it, it automatically defaults back to 0.
Do you know what could be making this happen?

Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
453 bit 0 is the diagnostic setup marker & should only change to a 1 momentarily.
What toolpost do you have fitted? The toolpost motor should be linked in the thermal sensor so it will need to be connected to clear the alarm.

Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
The toolpost i have is Baruffaldi RH 80- 6
Even with the toolpost connected it comes up with an alarm, can the thermal sensor fail?
Or is there a trip i do not know about?
Thanks.

Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
We used 2 different controls on the RH80 so a few pictures inside the electrical cabinet would be helpful.
On some we fitted a voltage sensing relay which measured the voltage from the thermistor inside the toolpost. It is plugged in to a relay base & should have a dial & red light on it. It may have come loose or just need adjusting if fitted,
Other than that it could be a broken wire.

Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
Ok. You have a toolpost control board fitted. It's the board in the distance in picture "lathe 4.jpg".
There may be a fuse on the base card which you can check. Also check that the card is fully pushed in. We used to fit a couple of cable ties round both cards to stop them coming apart.
Are there any lights lit on the board?

Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
Fuse seems ok and board is fully pushed, your right, there is a cable tie holding it back as well.

Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
Are any of the LED's labelled?
I can't locate any drawings or the manual for it.

Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
Unfortunately no, they are not labelled?
Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
I will see if I can locate the original folder in the morning.
Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
I still can't see any information at Denfords on the control card for the toolpost. Do you have any drawings that came with the machine?
Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
i dont think i do but will have a dig though it to be sure .
Re: Cyclone Diagnostic Parameters
Unfortunately i do not have much paper work explaining much.
Do you know of anyone or a number i could call to pay for someone to come and have a look at this for me?
I am in Southampton UK.
Thanks in advanced.
