Hello

Is it possible to export from Pro/Desktop into VR Milling? And if so in what format.

Thanks
Lisa

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

Hi,

You can't directly load up a 3D model into VR Milling.
You have to run the model through a CAM process in order to create toolpaths first eg:

CAD (proD) -> CAM (QuickCAM Pro) -> CNC (VRMilling)

You normally:
Export the model as an .STL file (CAD)
Load this into CAM package (eg, QuickCAM 3D / or Pro)
Apply some toolpaths to the model in the CAM software
Output an .fnc G code text file from the CAM software
Load the G code toolpath text file into VR Milling (CNC software)
Press Start !

Hi,

It is also possible to save 2D designs as DXF files from the drawing package within PRO D these will import directly into VR milling through the DXF import. :D

This only works for 2 D Designs though :(
