"Device Driver Called Failed" Error

Post by bradders » Fri 01 Dec , 2006 11:23 am

I get a "Device Driver Called Failed" error and sometimes a "Time out on ICM (TX)" error when trying to connect to a Router 2600 with VR Milling Ver 5 after about 30% of mint down loading using a Laptop with XP and service pack 2

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

I would suspect the USB hardware on the Laptop is either poor quality, or the laptop power saving features are interfering with the USB communications.
Or its a USB cabling problem - as long as our software / firmware and USB drivers are all up to date, then this problem will only be due to hardware or wiring faults.
