Testing home datum switches on V5 Millling

Make sure your version of VRMilling is higher than 5.33
Then, when connected to the machine, select the menu Setup > Debug Machine I/O
From here, you will be able to test that the home switch inputs are working:

If you can't physically get in to activate them, then you may have to increase the software limits and use the secret home button to let you jog over the home switches. This is because the machine thinks that home position is wherever the axes are when you turned the machine on (ie X0 Y0 Z0 machine position is 0.000 on power up)
To increase software limits:
Disconnect from machine,
Select menu Setup > Setup Machine Parameters, enter denny
Then under the section Machine Capibility, increase the +ve and -ve travel values (make a note of what to put them back to!)

Before homing any of the axes, you could press and hold in, any of the datum switches and if the switch, wiring and input are OK, then you would get an axis letter with a green border being displayed in the control panel window. (see below)
